The Skate Gods were kind as the clouds parted for a perfect Vans Go Skateboarding day at Riverslide Skate Park Melbourne. All the Skaters gathered at Fastimes skate shop, from there the crew cruised on down toRiverslideSkateParkto meet up with the Australian Vans team for a free BBQ, High Ollie comp and Best Trick on the Giant skateable Vans Classic. After an all in warm up sesh, the crew moved onto the Ollie bar where Jackson Pilz took out the High Ollie. He popped one up and over 39 inches (only 6 inches from the world record). At this point Vans and the YMCA had some snags on the go, so everyone had a quick brake for a sausage and a waffle grip waffle. The sun was still shining though so focus moved to the sesh on the big Vans shoe. Jackson Pilz took out the first place spot with an ollie up to quick tre’ flip over the gap. Second was Matty D with a backside flip over the same. Third went to Callum Paul for 5-0ing the whole shoe. A special mention goes out to little Bradley Saunders for his Ollie up kick flip off. If this wasn’t enough the day was finished off with plenty of free proddy giveaways and plenty more skateboarding.
