Experience the challenge, magic and camaraderie of volunteering with one of Australia’s most iconic sporting events.
Thinking about doing something different this summer? Keen to meet new people and have some fun? Want to experience more of Australia’s beautiful country?
Then the YMCA Massive Murray Paddle is for you.
At 404km, the Massive Murray Paddle is Australia’s longest paddling event. Taking place on the mighty Murray River bordering Victoria and New South Wales, the event begins each year in Yarrawonga and finishes five days later in Swan Hill during the last week of November annually.
Each year over thousands of paddlers, support-crew, volunteers, staff, family and friends participate in the iconic event.
Participants in the Massive Murray Paddle raise funds for the YMCA to help build bright futures for young Victorians, including those in the Murray region.
Over 45 years old, the event relies significantly on the hard work and dedication of more than 200 volunteers annually.
A similar number of volunteers is needed for this year's event, to help operate a safe and enjoyable event for all.
If you would like to be part of this awesome Australian adventure, we'd love you to help as a volunteer.
